Info
Introduced by Omega in 1993, the Seamaster 300M became a watchmaking icon when it was first featured in the James Bond film “GoldenEye” in 1995, where actor Pierce Brosnan wore both versions: quartz (ref. 2541.80) and automatic (ref. 2531.80). The “Bond Seamaster,” also worn by Daniel Craig in “Casino Royale,” is a huge success story. Together with the “MoonWatch,” it has helped Omega consolidate its position as the second-largest luxury watch brand in the world. The watch for sale, with an automatic movement (reference 2222.80), is not the one worn by 007, as it comes in a smaller size with a case diameter of 36 mm. It is the new model added to the price list in 2012, now discontinued, with Co-Axial movement; however, the only difference compared to its ‘historical big brother’ is the smaller case size. Moreover, the smaller case size makes it highly versatile and suitable for comfortable wear, even on smaller/medium-sized wrists.
